With the college basketball regular season now out of the way and in the books, it’s time for the conference tournaments to get in full swing, and one that is always closely watched is that of the Atlantic 10 Conference.
This season, the St. Louis BIllikens were undoubtedly the best the conference had to offer. Fulfilling a prophecy made by the late Rick Majerus, the Billikens reached Top-10 status in the country on their way to claiming the conference’s regular season crown.
But, as always, this tournament is deep with a lot of talented teams including the VCU Rams, George Washington, Dayton Flyers, UMass Minutemen and St. Joe’s–all of which finished with over 20 wins on the season. So, if St. Louis wants to walk away from the tournament as champs as well, they’re definitely going to have to earn it.
This year’s event will begin on Mar. 12 and will take place from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, putting some of the best basketball teams in the country on the center stage of New York City.
