MLB Rumors: Dee Gordon to become Dodgers starting second baseman?

The Los Angeles Dodgers have vented their frustrations with Dee Gordon before, but it appears the speedy infielder will be given another life as he could become the Dogers starting second baseman.

Gordon was paired with shortstop Hanley Ramirez as the starting middle infielders in Los Angeles’ game on Monday.

Offseason acquisition Alexander Guerrero was placed in the instrasquad game, a sign that Gordon has the clear edge on the starting second base job.

Dee Gordon seems to be the primary 2B. He’s teamed with starting SS Hanley Ramirez in lineup, while Alex Guerrero is in intrasquad game.

The Dodgers, unlike most teams, are in more a rush to get their regular season squad acclimated to each other as they’ll open the Major League regular season in Australia against the Arizona Diamondbacks in the coming days.

Guerrero has struggled to adapt and simply doesn’t look ready to play at the Major League level right now.

That could change down the road and after some seasoning in the minor leagues, but the job appears to be Dee Gordon’s to lose – at least right now.
