Greetings! It’s Monday morning, and each and every week (including last Monday), we bring you the latest look at the always entertaining race for the NBA’s Most Valuable Player Award. Story lines seem to be arising with each passing day in the NBA MVP race, and while half of the country focuses more on college basketball this time of year, it would certainly be a mistake to turn away from the Association, where things are ratcheting up in a big way.

For reference, the MVP “criteria” used here is the most literal sense of the word, and team success (while certainly a factor) doesn’t include or exclude any prospective candidate from the proceedings. Without further ado, let’s get it going!

Uh? Seth Curry. Warriors? Not even an honorable mention?

  • Real M-Fing talk !!!

This is the MVP…. most valuable player…. not the best scoring player…. if anything…. this Miami 3 games losing streak… proves James is the MVP…. Lebron plays terrible, where are his teammates to carry him through 3 down games? when was the last time Chalmers , battier 40 % of the starting lineup had a good games? or Bosh played 5 good games in a row… and i wont mention wade being in and out of the line up… If Lebron is not playing well they don’t win anything in the long run… Durant’s triple double also proved he does not have a major effect on the team the way people want you to believe…why? because Durant disappears on the defensive end of the ball.. Why do Brad and other media members fail to recognize that… The thunder lost to the Lakers the dagger came on a drive when Durant was beaten off the dribble by a scrub… also in the closing stretch Durant missed two 3pt attempts , but the media chooses to focus on the Westbrick airball… Lebron will be on the 1st team defense this year… that alone says MVP along with everything else he does for his team.
