New York Knicks to allow fans to name D-League team

Uh, yeah, considering the disastrous season the New York Knicks are having, I’m not sure if this is the best idea.

Already affiliated with the Erie Bay Hawks, the New York Knicks announced Monday they will own and operate another D-League franchise. The team will be located in Westchester, and, more importantly, you can help pick the team name!

Check it:

The Knicks are inviting fans to help choose the name for the new team. From now until March 24, fans can go to nyknicksdleague.com to submit their names online. Following the submission process, fans will go back to the same website to vote for the final team name. In addition, beginning today, fans can enter to win two full season tickets on the website; the sweepstakes will run until April 11.

Come on, how can you pass up the opportunity to have your suggestion immortalized until the end of time? Start submitting today! I’m sure all you despondent Knick fans have some wonderful ideas about what the new team should be called.
