NFL free agency doesn’t officially begin until Tuesday afternoon, but there is already a flurry of activity across the league, including a bit of musical chairs taking place among some top left tackles and it appears the Baltimore Ravens will be able to keep Eugene Monroe according to Albert Breer.

Prior to the weekend it appeared that the two sides would part ways after being unable to come to a middle ground on a new contract, but optimism is high according to the Baltimore Sun who reports the 26-year-old Monroe could fetch between $8.5 and 9 million dollars.

The former first round pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars out of the University of Virginia was acquired for fourth and fifth round picks in a mid-season trade. While it’s not a done deal yet, it appears that there is a lot of hope a deal will be finalized before he hits free agency where his price tag could be a bit higher.
