NFL Rumors: Giants have some interest in TE Brandon Pettigrew

The New York Giants need some help at tight end and are aiming high. According to a report from Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News, they’re targeting Detroit Lions tight end Brandon Pettigrew.

From Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News:

The Giants are looking for a tight end who is a capable receiver and a powerful blocker, and they’re looking into whether Brandon Pettigrew could be their man.

He is a “viable option” for the Giants, according to an NFL source, who confirmed that the team does have some interest in the Lions tight end. They have also expressed an interest in tight end Andrew Quarless, as the Daily News reported on Sunday night, so it appears that they’re shopping around for the right fit and price
