Free agent defensive end Tyson Jackson has been working on the beginning stages of contract negotiations with the Kansas City Chiefs, so there is a chance that a deal could be wrapped up in the next few hours or shortly after the start of free agency. However, if a deal is not reached, the Chiefs would run a serious risk of losing Jackson on the open market. According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, there are three other teams interested in Jackson other than the Chiefs — the Atlanta Falcons, Cleveland Browns and Miami Dolphins. The defensive end market is expected to move quickly after Michael Bennett re-signed with the Seattle Seahawks, Michael Johnson reportedly agreed to terms with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Arthur Jones seems headed to the Indianapolis Colts, so we could see some action on Jackson as early as Tuesday night.
