The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets stayed in state to land their latest commitment in the class of 2015.
On Tuesday, 3-star safety A.J. Gray committed to Georgia Tech.
The 6’1, 196-pound Gray attends Washington County High School in Sandersville, Georgia.
“I committed to Georgia Tech today,” Gray told Kipp Adams of 24/7 Sports. “I just love the coaching staff and they made me feel at home.”
His next head coach was very happy to get the news.
“I told Paul Johnson, and he got really excited and told the rest of the staff,” Gray said. “They feel I can be a real difference maker and team leader at Georgia Tech.”
Gray is considered the 47th best safety prospect, the 66th best overall prospect in the state of Georgia and the 721st best prospect in the class of 2015 according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.
Gray chose Georgia Tech over offers from the Marshall Thundering Herd, Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders and North Carolina Tar Heels, among others.
Gray is Georgia Tech’s second commitment in the class of 2015, joining 3-star guard Will Bryan.
