The Wisconsin Badgers went down to Florida to get their latest commitment.

Wide receiver Andrew James gave his pledge to the Badgers on Tuesday evening.

“I just feel as if it’s the program that’s right for me right now,” James told Evan Flood of Badger247. “I thought I would jump right on the Wisconsin train.”

James, who committed to Badgers’ wide receivers coach Chris Beatty, said his future position coach was excited to get the news.

“He was just really excited and fired up,” said James. “He was looking for a guy like me. He thinks I’m a guy that’s ready to change the program around in the return game.”

The 6’0, 170-pound James attends Westminster Academy in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The Badgers like to frequent the state of Florida, but often have to look for less sought after prospects after the highly touted kids are gobbled up by the in-state schools.

James is not currently ranked by 24/7 Sports.

He also had offers from the Cincinnati Bearcats and Temple Owls, among others.
