Colts re-sign Adam Vinatieri to two-year deal

The NFL free agency period is set to begin at 4 p.m. ET today, but the Indianapolis Colts are getting a head start on the signings by locking up veteran kicker Adam Vinatieri to a two-year deal.

Adam Schefter of ESPN was the first to pass along the news.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed at this time.

With their special teams players locked up, the Colts will now focus on improving their defense which is expected to begin with the addition of top free agent defensive end Arthur Jones.
