The Atlanta Falcons have been one of the most active teams early in the free agency period, by quickly signing defensive end Tyson Jackson and defensive tackle Paul Soliai. After addressing their needs on the defensive side of the ball, the Falcons attempted to get tougher in the offensive trenches by signing another former member of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Atlanta announced the signing of offensive guard Jon Asamoah, who was a third-round selection of new assistant general manager Scott Pioli.

Terms of the deal have not been announced and his signing is not expected to affect the team’s plans of looking for an offensive tackle.
