Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin has emerged to be one of the premier high fliers in the NBA, but he’s often known to rub opponents the wrong way.
That list can now include Phoenix Suns forward P.J. Tucker.
With five minutes left in the fourth quarter and the Clippers nursing a hefty lead, Tucker and Griffin faced off in the post. Griffin eventually passed out of the post and moments later, Matt Barnes fired up a three-point shot.
Both Tucker and Griffin turned around in an effort to put themselves in position to grab the rebound, but that’s when the two became tangled up and fell to the ground.
Griffin played the typical victim role – refusing to get off of Tucker – which didn’t sit well with the Texas Longhorn.
Unable to get out of Griffin’s grasp, Tucker unleashed a violent punch to the face of Griffin and the two wrestled around on the floor before they were separated by officials and teammates.
Expect Tucker to miss at least one, possibly more games due to suspension.
