The New York Jets apparently have had enough of the Geno Smith experiment and are attempting to get a deal done with Michael Vick ‘quickly’, that’s the word from Rich Cimini.

Interest in Vick has been reported for weeks on the Jets end, though, it was unknown if they’d actually show interest once free agency broke.

They apparently have.

"Jets are very interested in QB Michael Vick, per source. They’re hoping to get something wrapped up quickly, but will have other suitors."

One team that was originally thought to have interest in Vick would be the Jacksonville Jaguars, but they’re no longer on the potential list after re-signing Chad Henne last week.

In addition to the Jets, the Oakland Raiders, Houston Texans and Minnesota Vikings have all been teams linked to having potential interest in the veteran quarterback.

It’s not known what type of contract the Jets would be offering Vick at this time, though, there aren’t many better starting situations available for Vick who’s looking to win now.
