NFL Rumors: Buccaneers to meet with Evan Dietrich-Smith

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are making moves left and right, from cutting Davin Joseph and shopping Darrelle Revis to signing Michael Johnson, Clinton McDonald and others. We can add Green Bay Packers center Evan Dietrich-Smith to the mix as well, with Pro Football Talk reporting the Bucs are set to meet with the lineman this week.

Tampa Bay is in the middle of taking a blowtorch to their offensive line veterans, with Joseph cut and guys like Carl Nicks, Donald Penn and Jeremy Zuttah likely to go as well. Zuttah is currently the Buccaneers center and could be on the move is Dietrich-Smith is signed.

A lot is happening in Tampa Bay and the moves are quick and precise. Tampa Bay is calculating everything and they don’t seem to be making a move without having another in mind. For once, the Buccaneers are operating like a competent franchise again — which is a treat for fans.
