As he continues his resurgence back into the NFL following a scary spinal injury suffered last season, Green Bay Packers free agent tight end Jermichael Finley will test the open market as he already has a visit lined up with the world champion Seattle Seahawks, according to Ian Rapoport.

Finley was injured last season in late October in a game with the Cleveland Browns. The injury looked so severe at the time that it seemed as if he might not ever see the field ever again.

However, last weekend, Finley met with spinal cord specialists and got about as clean a bill of health as he could, considering.

Surely, an athletic tight end of his caliber, if he’s completely healthy, would be a welcome addition by Pete Carroll to the offensive side of the ball as the Seahawks look to create a dynasty in the years going forward.

Seattle shouldn’t be the only team coveting Finley’s services this offseason.
