The NFL free agency period is now officially open, which means players can meet and greet with teams and agree to deals all on the same day. One of those players looking for a deal is Jacoby Jones, and the New York Giants might be giving him one.

According to ESPN’s Josina Anderson, the Giants are looking to bring Jones in for a visit this week and could agree to a deal rather soon. Nothing is imminent other than Jones dropping by for a chat.

The Giants are desperate for a dual threat receiver and Jones may be their answer. There was reported interested in Dexter McCluster and Devin Hester — two guys that double as receivers and returners. McCluster is now in Tennessee while Hester is just old, which leaves Jones as a real possibility for the Giants.

It’s likely that Jones will flash any offers he gets at the Ravens to see if they’ll match, but he could find a home one way or another very soon.
