The Green Bay Packers have a habit of brining up receivers in their system and then dumping them to free agency when they no longer want them. This happened to Greg Jennings, Donald Driver and could now be happening to James Jones.

While there is interest from Green Bay in bringing Jones back, they may have to compete with a few teams to do so and that’s a bit of a turn off for Green Bay. According to Tom Pauline, the Detroit Lions and New York Jets are two teams already showing an interest in signing Jones.

The Lions need another wide receiver and it seems that Jones could be a great option for them alongside Calvin Johnson. The Jets just need receivers so their interest in the Packer wideout is not at all surprising and it looks like more teams could show and interest and draw Green Bay even further away from retaining Jones in 2014.
