Once the news broke that it’s all but certain that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and cornerback Darrelle Revis will be parting ways during this free agency period, one of the first theories that immediately popped into mind for folks was a possible reunion with the New York Jets. And, as one team source told Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, they’d absolutely be open to it.

Despite the constant contract issues while he was in New York, which makes all of this quite ironic, head coach Rex Ryan loved having Revis on his defense and would more than certainly love to insert him right back into the plans.

The only question now would be whether the Jets would acquire him back via a trade or signing him after the Bucs cut him, which they reportedly might do after he refused to take a pay cut for a trade.
