The Tampa Bay Buccaneers appear ready to move on from Darrelle Revis and are looking to trade or cut him but the start of the new season on Wednesday. While teams know that the Bucs plan to cut Revis if they can’t trade him, that hasn’t stopped calls from coming in about the possibility of striking a swap for the Pro Bowl cornerback.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Buccaneers are indeed getting trade calls from carious unnamed teams about a Revis trade and there is the possibility that Revis could re-do his deal before Wednesday’s deadline as well.
#Bucs do have interest & phone calls from teams on a potential Darrelle Revis deal. We’ll see what that amounts to…& if he’ll re-do his deal

It’s unclear if re-doing his deal would be to allow him to stay in Tampa Bay or to allow a trade to happen easier. It’s hard to imagine the Bucs getting Revis to re-do his deal and then trade him, as they gave up a first-rounder to get him in 2013.
If they can get that return back, a trade plus a re-done deal is possibility. Either way, something is going to happen with Revis today and it’s only a matter of time before we find out what that will be.
