2014 ACC Tournament: Miami vs. Virginia Tech live stream, start time, TV info and more

Wednesday of championship week means the tip-off of many conference tournaments across the country, and the ACC Tournament is no exception. Miami and Virginia Tech will square off in game #2 of the day in Greensboro, and while both teams are double-digit seeds, the game should still be an entertaining watch.

Despite being the #10 seed, the Miami Hurricanes are actually a top-70 nationally according to KenPom, despite their unfortunate 7-11 conference mark. At 16-15 overall, Miami will be looking to avoid going .500 on the season, and the ‘Canes have actually been a balanced team this season, ranking in the top 100 in both offense and defense. However, Miami plays slowly on both ends, and despite their solid metrics, that choice leaves them in a lot of close games.

On the other end, the Hokies have struggled mightily this season, as they arrive in the basement of the league at 2-16 in conference play. Offense has been the culprit of the majority of their issues, as Va Tech currently ranks 290th in offensive efficiency, and they simply haven’t been able to score consistently. Things won’t get much easier against a stingy Miami defense, and the Hokies will desperately need to make jump shots in order to escape with a win on a neutral court.
