On Wednesday, a report surfaced that the San Francisco 49ers were interested in signing current free agent and former Minnesota Vikings’ cornerback Chris Cook.

According to Matt Barrows of The Sacramento Bee, Cook will visit the 49ers on Thursday.

Cook has shown flashes, but for the most part has been a big disappointment so far in the NFL. The former Virginia Cavalier played in just six games in each of his first two seasons, has never played in more than 12 games in a season and has zero career interceptions.

Cook had 47 tackles in 2013.
