Although the UCLA Bruins had a poor finish to their 2014 recruiting class, losing out on many of their top targets late in the game, the Bruins proved that they can get into the race for many elite prospects from all over the country.
The Bruins are going to try to fix some of their issues to land a class worthy of competing for national championships in 2015.
They didn’t have to go far to get the latest addition.
3-star running back Bolu Olorunfunmi gave his pledge to the Bruins on Wednesday.
The 5’10, 205-pound Olorunfunmi attends Clovis North High School in Clovis, California.
“It’s been my dream school since I was a little kid and to have a big opportunity to play for a team and attend that school is an honor,” Olorunfunmi told Austin Kemp of The Fresno Bee. “I’m just really excited. UCLA loves me and I love them.”
Olorunfunmi is ranked as the 77th best running back prospect, the 86th best overall prospect in the state of California and the 917th best overall prospect in the class of 2015, according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.
Olorunfunmi chose the Bruins over offers from the Northwestern Wildcats and Oregon state Beavers, among others.
