Dansby takes ‘leap of faith’ signing with Browns

The Cleveland Browns have hit the 2014 NFL Free Agent market hard on the defensive side so far this year. The team has agreed to terms with safety Donte Whitner, cornerback Isaiah Trufant and linebacker Carlos Dansby.

At the introductory news conference for the three players, Dansby told reporters that he believes the Browns are ready for some success.

“I’m taking a leap of faith,” Dansby said. “I really believe there’s something special going on here. That’s the reason I’m here and I’m going to make the most of this opportunity. I’m going to maximize.”

Dansby also had some pretty lofty goals for his success with the Browns.

“I think I might double my output here, just by the positioning of myself in this scheme. I think it’s one of the better schemes in the NFL, if you ask me. Like I said, I’m on a mission. I’m on a mission to try to be the best player I can be. That’s the mission I was on last season and I came close; I came real close.”
