Darrelle Revis Rumors: Philadelphia Eagles to make run at Revis

Less than three years after the Nnamdi Asomugha experiment scarred the Eagles and ended up killing the careers of mostly everyone involved, Philly may be going after yet another big name cornerback free agent. While they’re still on the outskirts of the Darrelle revise situation, the Eagles are apparently open to making a play for him according to Tom Curran.

Curran’s report doesn’t come without some rebuttal, as two other Eagles beat writers are saying the exact opposite. Both Reuben Frank and Jeff McLane are stating Philly will not be going after Revis and the Island will not become occupied by Chip Kelly and the Eagles.

It’s possible that the Eagles kick the tires n Revis, but he’ll have to come cheap given the lack of interest from the Eagles. If they price is right, you can’t pass on Revis but overpaying for him is not something the Eagles are looking to do.

Then again they’re about drafting the best player available and I’d say if they treated FA the same right now, they’d strike gold and can scratch cb from their drafting needs in the 1st. Regardless of scheme I think they’d be wise and use him to his strengths, let him shut it down and it forces the qb to think and react faster, also a part of the scheme.

CB is not a need in the 1st S is. You can get a good corner as late as the third round. No way they are gonna pay 10 mil or more I said it about Byrd it still holds true for Revis. And the scheme comment in 100% correct Roseman doesn’t go for guys that don’t “fit the system” and he does a great job all around of doing what the coaches want and need
