Less than three years after the Nnamdi Asomugha experiment scarred the Eagles and ended up killing the careers of mostly everyone involved, Philly may be going after yet another big name cornerback free agent. While they’re still on the outskirts of the Darrelle revise situation, the Eagles are apparently open to making a play for him according to Tom Curran.
Source tells me the Eagles are expected to be among the teams in mix for UFA Darrelle Revis.

Curran’s report doesn’t come without some rebuttal, as two other Eagles beat writers are saying the exact opposite. Both Reuben Frank and Jeff McLane are stating Philly will not be going after Revis and the Island will not become occupied by Chip Kelly and the Eagles.
Don’t get your hopes up about the Eagles and Revis. It’s not going to happen.

Biggest reason why I don’t think there’s much chance the #Eagles go after Darrelle Revis is their scheme doesn’t require “shut-down” CBs.

It’s possible that the Eagles kick the tires n Revis, but he’ll have to come cheap given the lack of interest from the Eagles. If they price is right, you can’t pass on Revis but overpaying for him is not something the Eagles are looking to do.
