The Green Bay Packers haven’t been active in free agency but they may want to make a move if they don’t want to lose wide receiver James Jones. They may not have interest in bringing him back, and that seems to be to the benefit of the New York Jets, who have shown a ‘real interest’ in signing Jones this week.

According to the New York Daily News, the Jets seem to be interest in adding Jones as a weapon to whoever will be throwing the ball under center next year.

"The Daily News has learned that the Jets have expressed a real interest in Packers free-agent wide receiver James Jones. … The Jets are hosting Eric Decker, arguably the top receiver in this year’s free agent class, on Wednesday. The team has not scheduled a visit with Jones at this point, according to sources."

Jones would be an upgrade for the Jets but anything would be an upgrade for the Jets. As for interest from the Packers, it was predicted that the market may drive the price out of their comfort zone and the Jets are desperate enough to outbid them.
