The Miami Dolphins haven’t been making splashes in free agency they way they did last year, but they snagged offensive tackle Branden Albert in the opening minutes of free agency and are now looking at using their money to retain one of their own.
According to CBSSports.com reporter Jason La Canfora, the Dolphins are close to re-signing defensive tackle Randy Starks to a fat extension.

Starks was one of e bright spots for a Dolphins tae that probably should have been better than it was in 2013. While they became embroiled in the Richie Incognito bullying scandal late in the year, they almost turned things around right before that and it was thanks to a Thursday Night Football game in which Starks and the Dolphins defense came alive.
He’s one of Miami’ best players, and it appears Randy Starks is about to be paid as such starting in 2014.
