While it appeared that Michael Vick was close to being one of the first free agent quarterbacks off the board, things have changed and the former Falcons and Eagles signal caller will be waiting until after the draft this May to pick a team.
Vic Tafur, beat writer for one of the teams interested in Vick, tweeted that the pursuit of Vick will have to wait until after the draft in May.
Michael Vick likely to wait until after draft to sign with team; #Raiders waiting to see what happens w/ Schaub, also interested in Freeman

This isn’t surprising as many teams will be looking for a quarterback if they miss out on a prospect in the draft. Even if a team drafts a top guy, chances are they’ll want a veteran like Vick to come in and play a mentor role, as he still appears to have some value to NFL teams in 2014.
