This week is one of my favorite weeks every year on Streak for the Cash.  With conference tournaments getting started from the bigger conferences, it’s a great chance to see so many close conference games play out and the games are spread out throughout the day giving us especially robust Streak boards.  Today’s already has 20 picks on it with more to possible be added later. To know when picks are added, follow me on twitter @ZT_Sports and I’ll send out a link when new picks are up.

Today’s board starts with the continuing KHL Playoffs before getting to the ACC Tournament options this afternoon mixed in with a pair of nice UEFA Champions Leagues matches.  Tonight, the tournaments continue with action from the ACC, SEC, and Big East as well as a few NBA and NHL picks and props.

Here are my picks for the day with my confidence on a scale of 1-10:

2/12 Streak Picks

8:00- Sibir Novosibirsk: Novosibirsk is at home and leading the series 2-1 over streak legends AK Bars.  Even with Bars Kazan’s past success on Streak for the Cash, Novosibirsk’s home record makes them the pick here. Confidence-5

1:00- Notre Dame Fighting Irish: The Irish are favored by three as they take on Wake Forest in Greensboro to tip off the ACC Tournament. Proceed with caution, though, since Wake beat ND by seven when the teams met a couple of months ago. ND has also dropped four of their last five while the Demon Deacons are just 2-9 since beating the Irish back on January 25. Confidence-3

3:00- Miami Winning Margin: The worst team in the ACC this season was Virginia Tech finishing just 2-16 in conference.  They open the tournament by facing Miami who won four of their last six games and come in as 6 1/2 point favorites.  One of the Hokies wins came over Miami, but I expect the ‘Canes to get some revenge today. Confidence-6

3:45- Barcelona win: Picking against Barcelona at home isn’t usually a way to find green on Streak, but they do already lead 2-0 on aggregate so can advance without a win. Confidence-4

3:45- Paris Saint-Germain wins by 2+ Goals: PSG is also an excellent home team and they just trounced Bayer Leverkusen 4-0 in the first leg of this match.  They definitely don’d have to win by two to advance, but I still think they will. Confidence-5

7:02- South Florida Bulls: The Bulls are two-point underdogs as they take on Rutgers in Memphis as part of the AAC Tournament. USF lost to the Scarlet Knights twice this season and have dropped their last eight in a row.  Those two wins are Rutgers only wins in their last nine games, and for some reason I think the Bulls pull the upset here. Ultimately, neither of these teams are good enough to be very confident in. Confidence-2

7:02- Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets: The Yellow Jackets are one point favorites as they open against BC in Greensboro. The Eagles lost by three at Georgia Tech earlier this season and by eight at home to the Jackets.  BC has also lost four of its last five games while Georgia Tech has been playing a little better closing with wins over Syracuse and Virginia Tech. Confidence-6

7:02- Butler Bulldogs: Seton Hall is favored by two and do have the better conference record, but Butler beat the Pirates twice this year including a 17 point win just Sunday.  Seton Hall has lost four of their last five games and Butler comes in on a mini two-game winning streak. Confidence-4

7:02- Auburn Tigers: In the SEC Tournament, Auburn looks to beat South Carolina for the third time this season.  SC has won two of their last three, but I don’t think they’ll pull off the upset over the Tigers who are three-point favorites. Confidence-5

7:05- Orlando Magic: Even though the Magic are 1 1/2 point home underdogs, I think they’re the right pick here as they take on the Nuggets who have lost eight of their last nine on the road.  Orlando got Victor Oladipo back in their last game, and I think they’ll be able to do enough to get the win at home which would actually move them to 16-16 at the Amway Center. Confidence-4

Mar 10, 2014; Miami, FL, USA; Miami Heat small forward LeBron James (6) is defended by Washington Wizards small forward Trevor Ariza (1) in the second half at American Airlines Arena. Mandatory Credit: Robert Mayer-USA TODAY Sports

7:10- Nets win or single-digit loss: In the ESPN featured Wednesday night NBA game, the Heat host the Nets as eight-point favorites.  The two teams have met twice this season both times in Brooklyn with the Nets winning both.  Brooklyn has won six of their last seven games while Miami just snapped a three-game losing streak by beating Washington but only by nine. I think the Nets will be able to at least keep this one close and cover. Confidence-4

7:11- 27 Points or Fewer: This is a close one based on averages and recent results, but I think Brooklyn does all it can to keep his low-scoring which should lead to Lebron/Wade scoring 20-24. Confidence-3

7:35- Montreal Canadiens: The Canadiens host their arch-rival Bruins who they’ve beaten in each of their last five meetings.  Boston is hot though having won their last five games and starting to run away with the Atlantic Division.  This rivalry is always a great NHL game to watch but a hard game to predict, so I’d stay away if you have any streak in the green. Confidence-2

7:35- Winnipeg Jets: The Jets are 15-13-5 at home as they host the Canucks who are just 13-17-4 on the road.  Vancouver is a woeful 2-11-1 in their last 14 games and have been struggling especially on the offensive end. Confidence-4

7:35- Boston Celtics: The Celtics and Knicks have blown each other out this season and both are struggling.  Since the games in Boston, I’ll take the C’s even though they’re 4 1/2 point underdogs. Confidence-3

8:05- Memphis Grizzlies: Memphis has been hot since the turn of the calendar and are fighting for a playoff spot as they travel to face New Orleans who have won all three previous games against the Grizz this season. Memphis is favored by 3 1/2 and I think they’ll get the win even though they’ve struggled at times on the road. Confidence-5

8:30- No: Heat do not outscore Nets in both 3rd and 4th qtr: I think this game will be close, as I outlined above. Confidence-4

9:30- UCF Knights: UCF are one-point favorites in our final AAC game of the day. They beat Temple by two at home earlier in the season but lost in overtime at Temple just eight days ago. It’s a coin-flip pick between two teams that are having tough years but are looking to finish with a nice tournament run. Confidence-3

9:35- Colorado Avalanche: This should be a great hockey game as the Blackhawks head to Denver to face the Avalanche.  The Avs have taken three of four from the ‘Haks this season and are looking for their sixth win in their last seven games. Chicago has been a bit uneven lately going 3-3 with some convincing wins and a few head-scratchers as well. Since Colorado is hotter and at home, I think they’ll get the green for you in this one. Confidence-4

9:40- Spurs winning Margin or tie: The Spurs trashed the Bulls last night and now come home to face the Blazer who fell in Memphis last night. San Antonio is favored by 7 1/2 and since they’ve been great at home while the Blazers have struggled on the road, I think they’re a really nice pick to close your night out with. Confidence-6
