2014 ACC Tournament: Florida State defeats Maryland in final seconds to advance (Video)

Just like that on Thursday, the Maryland Terrapins basketball program is no longer a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference as they were defeated in the second round of the 2014 ACC Tournament by the Florida State Seminoles, and it was nothing short of dramatic.

In the final seconds, with the clock ticking down and the game tied at 65, Florida State’s Boris Bojanovsky hit this shot just in time to give head coach Leonard Hamilton and the ‘Noles the win, and send Maryland packing to the Big Ten.

It certainly wasn’t the way the Terps wanted to go out, but that’s what happens when the month of March gets in full swing.

Florida State grabbed themselves the 67-65 win and Maryland can begin introducing themselves to their new conference mates up north.

After a storied basketball history in the conference, which includes a national championship win, that’s all she wrote for Maryland.
