The 2014 NFL Draft class has yet to see any player emerge as the top center, but Colorado State Rams offensive lineman Weston Richburg is making a strong claim for that title. Richburg, who is expected to be a top 100 pick, has been impressing scouts as they look at his film and his versatility could earn him the top honors.
According to Gil Brandt of NFL.com, Richburg is so good that he could be the next Alex Mack.
“He’ll be your starting center for the next 10 years,” Brandt said.
USC’s Marcus Martin is also expected to be in the discussion as the top center available.
One of the teams who have been paying close attention to Richburg is the Cincinnati Bengals, who put the Colorado State standout through an individual workout at the 2014 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.
