The Indianapolis Colts added some depth to their offensive line on Thursday afternoon by signing former Dallas Cowboys center Phil Costa. After releasing starter Samson Satele one week ago, the Colts were in a market for a center and Costa could earn a crack at the starting job.

Terms of the deal were not announced.

“Phil is a young, hard-nosed and physical center who has shown he can play at a winning level in our league,” Colts General Manager Ryan Grigson said in a statement from the team. “He will provide strong competition at the center position.”
