The Washington Redskins are looking to add bodies on the defensive side of the ball, and they are looking to add a former NFC East rival to the mix. According to ESPN 980 Washington, the Redskins and free agent linebacker Akeem Jordan have “mutual interest.”

Jordan spent last season playing for the Kansas City Chiefs after following head coach Andy Reid over from the Philadelphia Eagles, but he has never been able to be a true difference maker on the defensive side of the ball.

While Jordan provides depth at linebacker, he will not be an impact defender that can help the Redskins linebacking corp.
