Daniel Straus cuts hair in order to make weight for Bellator 112

Bellator 112 goes down tomorrow night in Hammond, Indiana. The main event of the evening features the Featherweight title rubber match between champion Daniel Straus and former champion Pat Curran.

Today, at the official weigh-ins, Daniel Straus missed weight by one half pound putting the title bout in danger. Straus had two additional hours to cut the half pound and had to cut his signature hair in order to shed the extra weight:

At the follow up weigh-ins, Straus successfully made weight so the title fight is on. It would have been a disaster for Bellator and Straus had he not made weight. Bellator was already given a lot of flak for giving Curran an immediate rematch, and did not need the extra issues with the champion possibly missing weight. Regardless, the bout is on and the title is on the line.

The rest of the card features the season 10 Welterweight tournament. The tournament was originally set to feature Joe Riggs and War Machine, but both men were forced out of the tournament due to injury
