UFC 171: Johny Hendricks vs Robbie Lawler By the Numbers

)

This weekend, at UFC 171, Johny Hendricks and Robbie Lawler will battle for the undisputed Welterweight championship. This will be the first time in nearly eight years that the undisputed Welterweight title will be on the line without Georges St-Pierre fighting for the belt.

Lawler, the longtime MMA veteran who has fought in nearly all of the major MMA promotions, will be getting his first crack at UFC gold after winning three in a row. Lawler debuted in the UFC back in 2002, and could become a UFC champion in 2014.

Hendricks is coming off his razor close decision loss to Georges St-Pierre at UFC 167. Many believed, including Dana White, that Hendricks should have walked away as champion that night. When GSP vacated his title, it was a no brainer that Hendricks would be competing for the vacant belt.
