The Minnesota Vikings have bolstered their defensive line by re-signing one of their own free agents on Thursday afternoon. According to reports, the Vikings have re-signed veteran back up defensive tackle Fred Evans to a one-year deal.

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk was the first to pass along the news.

Since joining the Vikings back in 2007, Evans has recorded 97 tackles and three sacks. He will be entering the eighth-year of his NFL career. He played 14 games for the Vikings last season.
