The Oklahoma State Cowboys went into Texas, as they often do, to get their latest commitment for the class of 2015.
3-star offensive guard Johnny Wilson committed to the Cowboys on Thursday.
The 6′, 275-pound Wilson attends Midland Christian School in Midland, Texas.
Sean Ceglinsky of 24/7 Sports has the scoop.
Prior to his decision to join the Cowboys, Wilson had offers from North Texas and SMU. Also worth mentioning, Texas had recently entered the mix and could have emerged as an option with an offer.
Turned out, Wilson did not want to play the waiting game. A recent visit to Oklahoma State, back on Mar. 10 and scholarship shortly thereafter, apparently had something to his choice to join the Pokes.
Wilson is ranked as the 69th best offensive guard prospect, the 169th best overall prospect in the state of Texas and the 1,156th best overall prospect in the class of 2015, according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.
Wilson becomes the second member of the Cowboys’ 2015 recruiting class, joining 3-star quarterback John Kolar from Norman, Oklahoma.
