The Kansas City Chiefs and defensive tackle Vance Walker were able to agree on a three year deal worth around $13 million with $3.5 million guaranteed according to Josina Anderson on Twitter.

Walker spent the first four years of his career with the Atlanta Falcons, only missing six games in his five year career. He played only one season with the Oakland Raiders last year, recording a career high 40 combined tackles. Vance also tied his career high in sacks with three on the year.

His production has picked up over the last couple of years, which resulted in him receiving the type of deal he agree’d on with the Kansas City Chiefs. Walker recorded 13, 16 and 18 combined tackles before his numbers jumped in 2012 and 2013.

It’s a great pick up by the Chiefs, who should continue to add to their defense. Hopefully this works out for both sides.
