The Baltimore Ravens may have landed wide receiver Steve Smith on Friday, but they allowed offensive lineman and subject of the film The Blindside Michael Oher to walk. While there were some that though Oher may re-sign with the Ravens, he has instead walked all the way to Tennessee and inked a deal with the Titans.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Oher has signed a four-year, $20 million contract with the Titans that pays him nearly $10 million in guaranteed cash.
Titans are signing former Ravens OT Michael Oher to a 4-year, $20M deal that includes $9.5M gtd. Blindside to Nashville.

The move is one of many that the Titans have been making under new head coach Ken Whisenhunt and seems to be one that may end up paying off big for whoever gets under center for Tennessee in 2014.
He obviously wasn’t valuable enough to the Ravens for them to fork over more cash than the Titans did, but that’s not a knock on Oher. He’s had his struggles, but a new team and a new contract may motivate him to step up and become a star again in the NFL.
