NFL Rumors: Emmanuel Sanders to visit San Francisco 49ers Saturday

The tour of Pittsburgh Steelers free agent wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders will take him from Kansas City where he is visiting the Chiefs today to another playoff team tomorrow when he’ll see what the San Francisco 49ers have to offer.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Jacksonville Jaguars have hosted the four-year veteran earlier this week and the New England Patriots have been viewed as a possible landing spot for the former third round pick out of SMU in the 2009 NFL draft.

The 49ers have been looking for a complement to Michael Crabtree and after Mario Manningham didn’t work out as planned last season and A.J. Jenkins was a first round draft bust, the team could give Colin Kaepernick a developing weapon to work with.

Sanders started a careeer-high 11 games last season and for the second year in a row played in all 16 games. He had 67 receptions for 740 yards and six touchdowns, all career-highs for the 5-11, 186-pound receiver.
