2014 ACC Tournament: Duke Blue Devils, Virginia Cavaliers land spots in title game

After Saturday’s action, the final game to determine the 2014 ACC champion is set. In Greensboro, the Duke Blue Devils will take on the top-seeded Virginia Cavaliers for one of the most coveted trophies in college basketball on Sunday.

In their semifinal game on Saturday, the regular season champion Cavaliers were able to barely squeak by a Pittsburgh Panthers team that had nothing but upset on their mind from the start. However, in the final seconds with the Panthers trying to tie the game with a three, the shot was blocked and the ‘Hoos walked away with the win.

Following that excitement, Coach K and his Duke squad took care of a very good N.C. State team, led by the conference player of the year in T.J. Warren. One night after knocking off the Syracuse Orange, the Wolfpack just didn’t have enough left in the tank for another shocker, and the Blue Devils keep on playing.
