The Cleveland Browns have been putting together a mighty impressive free agent haul this offseason and the latest addition to that haul is now former Houston Texans running back Ben Tate.
After emerging from the shadow of Arian Foster in Houston, Tate will assume the starting role with the Browns and become a full-time starter for the first time in his pro career. One guy particularly excited about the signing is quarterback Brian Hoyer, who took to Twitter to be the first t welcome Tate to the team.

The main thing to take away from Hoyer’s tweet, is he’s very confident he’ll be the Browns starting quarterback in 2014. He didn’t say he’s looking forward to watching Johnny Manziel or Rex Grossman hand the rock to Tate, he very specifically named himself.
That’s swag right there on Hoyer’s part, as not only is he being a team player, he’s letting the Browns know that he’s still on the roster and plans on being the starter in 2014.
