The San Francisco Giants will try to bounce back in 2014 and reclaim their status as the class of the National League West. With the Los Angeles Dodgers and their bottomless pool of money standing in the way, the Giants have a lot of work in front of them to accomplish that goal.
As is typically the case for them, San Francisco will have to find consistency on offense to contend. Hunter Pence has a five-year, $90 million deal to help bolster their efforts in that regard, something he did very well in 2013 (.283/.339/.483) while playing all 162 games.
The Giants would love a repeat of that performance. Pence looked to be shaping into form yesterday, knocking two home runs against the Colorado Rockies (from MLB.com).
