It appears that Jason Heyward is putting some of his new money to good use.
The Atlanta Braves outfielder, who recently signed a two-year extension worth nearly $14 million dollars decided to spend some of that hard earned cash recently – on his teammates.
As players returned to the locker room after a tasking practice, a gift awaited each of them at their locker – a Playstation 4, courtesy of Heyward.
Pitcher Alex Wood took a photo and showed it to the world on Twitter.
While most Major League player likely already have such, it still a pretty sweet sentiment. And with two weeks still remaining during the Spring, it gives the players something to do during their evenings off.
Hopefully when Wood mentions ‘everybody’ received one, that does include the minor league players attending Braves camp. While the PS4 might not be that amazing of a gift for guys that make millions of dollars every year, a $400 dollar Playstation is a pretty hefty gift for guys that have to work odd jobs in the offseason just to make ends meat.
