Free agent wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders is coming off a career year, with a team that was missing Mike Wallace. Sanders had to step in a big way for the Pittsburgh Steelers offense and did just that.
Sanders was able to bring in 67 receptions for 740 receiving yards and six touchdowns. Things started off a bit slow for the Steelers, but things started to slowly fall into place as the season went on. His biggest game of the year came on November 3rd where he brought in six receptions for 98 receiving yards.
Emmanuel is supposedly seeking the same type of deal that Super Bowl winning wide receiver Golden Tate received with the Detroit Lions. Tate was able to land himself a five year deal worth $31 million. I’m not quite sure if he’ll receive that much, but he’ll be able to get himself a pretty solid contract.
Now according to ESPN.com, the Pittsburgh Steelers have not officially ruled out the possibility of bringing back Emmanuel Sanders.
The price tag could push him away, but they still have a fair shot at throwing a decent offer his way. It’s only right that he listens to what the Steelers have to offer, right?
We’ll just to wait and see what happens. But now I want to hear from the Pittsburgh Steelers nation. Should the Steelers let Sanders walk away?
