Well, the WWE Network has had a couple glitches as we all expected. Thousands of WWE fans have subscribed to one of the biggest OnDemand services on the planet and have continued to stay logged in, watching some of their favorite matches in professional wrestling history.
I recently subscribed to the WWE Network and have been watching the older WWE pay per views, mainly from the Attitude Era. Now the biggest challenge this company and network will be facing in three weeks will be the first WWE pay per view event that will be streamed live.
I’m talking about WrestleMania XXX. Fans who commit to the WWE Network for six months will be able to watch the show in its entirety on either their gaming consoles, smart phones, laptop and or desktop computers. I have the channel app on my Playstation 3, laptop and android phone.
I’ve noticed a couple problems with a few shows, glitches that would rewind about five to 10 seconds at a time depending on the event.
WWE recently released a statement regarding WrestleMania XXX’s stream on the WWE Network. Here’s what the company had to say:
“Not withstanding the overwhelmingly positive response to the WWE Network, we want to ensure subscribers have the highest-quality experience watching WrestleMania 30 and all our programming, and thus have put in place significant quality assurances. These steps include increased capacity to handle high volumes of transactions, logins and concurrent live streams, daily ‘stress’ testing of all systems over an expended period, and addition of all technology expects to review our plan and procedures. We’re confident that we’ll be ready on Sunday, April 6th.” – WWE via NoDQ.com and Fool.com.
Will you be watching WWE WrestleMania XXX on the WWE Network, or will you be ordering it through your cable/satellite provider?
