The North Carolina Tar Heels got big news over the weekend.
4-star tight end Chris Clark gave his pledge to the Tar Heels on Sunday.
The 6’6, 247-pounder is from Avon, Connecticut and attends Avon Old Farms.
“It’s a crazy feeling this process is over,” Clark told 24/7 Sports.com. “I didn’t expect this but I’m really happy with this. Coach (Larry) Fedora is building something special at North Carolina and I’m excited to be part of it.”
Clark also believes he will fit in very well with the Tar Heels’ offense.
“At the end of the day it’s just a fit for me and what I want to do,” Clark said. “The offense, and I felt at home with the coaches, it’s a great fit for me.”
Clark is considered the third-best tight end prospect, second best overall prospect in the state of Connecticut and 126th best overall prospect in the class of 2015, according to 24/7 Sports composite rankings.
Clark chose the Tar Heels over an impressive list of offers, including the Alabama Crimson Tide, Auburn Tigers, Florida Gators, Florida State Seminoles and Georgia Bulldogs, among others.
