Cavaliers mascot celebrates during Detroit Pistons player injury (Video)

Goodness there’s a lot going on with this clip, so stay with me here.

First, as not to confuse anybody – here we have Saturday’s game between the Indiana Pacers and Detroit Pistons. Why the Cleveland Cavaliers mascot is at the game? Well, your guess is as good as mine. Occasionally mascots (for whatever reason) travel to other venues and do their thing. I’m guessing that’s what was going on in Motown last night as the Pistons hosted the Eastern Conference’s leading team, the Indiana Pacers.

Things got a little strange early in the first quarter though as Pacers center Roy Hibbert was attempting to back down Pistons big man Andre Drummond.

In the process, Drummond seemed to catch a bit of an elbow (and some rump) in the head, sending him to the ground where he remained in visible pain for a few minutes.

During the stoppage in play, out pops the Cavaliers mascot (wearing a party hat, because why not) trying to throw gifts into the crowd as Drummond lay on the floor with a possible concussion.

He was more or less pushed off the floor – seemingly unaware of what was taking place about five feet behind him.

Drummond thankfully was able to walk off the court moments later (with assistance).
