The New York Yankees traveled to Panama to take on the Miami Marlins. That would be the home of all-time great closer Mariano Rivera, of course, who made an appearance to address the team and his fans.
Classy as always, Rivera probably did little to make the Yankees feel better about their future without a franchise icon as he spoke and then threw the first pitch.
In an odd turn of events, the Yankees ended up getting no-hit by the Miami Marlins in the game. Ultimately this is just another emotional moment in the midst of a number of huge transitions for the organization.
