We’re still months away from drafting our fantasy football teams, but Carolina Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams wants you to remember his name come draft time.

How come? Was it some new improved offseason workout that he’s been taking part in that will improve his 2014 season? Maybe a new training routine? Better diet? Nope – it’s because his wide recievers will suck.

Williams made the hilarious mention on Twitter recently, suggesting he and fellow backfield mate Jonathan Stewart will be high fantasy draft picks because the Panthers will be forced to run the ball so often.

"Well looking at things as they stand Jonathan and I will be high fantasy draft picks"

The Carolina Panthers have lost their top three wide receivers this offseason – Steve Smith (cut), Ted Ginn (signed with Arizona Cardinals) and Brandon LaFell (signed with New England Patriots) and are in severe need of some reinforcements.

Sounds like it’s going to be a lot of defense and a lot of rushing in Carolina this season.

Not looking good for Cam Newton‘s passing either.
