Tonight’s episode of The Walking Dead got real very fast with two major characters from this season getting killed off in gut wrenching fashion. If you didn’t watch this week’s episode, there are obvious spoilers below so be sure to watch the episode first and then check back.

The first major death occurred when Lizzie decided to prove a point that Walkers weren’t bad and killed her sister Mika with the idea that she’d come back like the Walkers do. Mika didn’t come back, and all of a sudden Carroll and Tyrese has a psychotic 11-year old on their hands to deal with.

And deal with her they did. After leading her out the field like Old Yeller, Carroll out a bullet in the back of Lizzie’s head, putting an end to her psychotic nature.

The episode was heavy for a number of reasons — so heavy that Carroll telling Tyrese that she killed Karen wasn’t even that big of a deal to him anymore. Lizzie and Mika’s death came at the hands of humans, not walkers, which further highlights the moral intensity of the episode that took the lives of both Mika and Lizzie, while raising more questions than we could ever hope to answer.

What did you think of the major deaths in the episode tonight? Sound off in the comments section and let us know.
